What we sell

We sell jadeite.
Only ever jadeite.

"Jade" is a loose word, an umbrella over two very different stones. Most shops mix them, or don't know the difference. We don't. Every piece in the Pavilion is jadeite, the precious one.

Nephrite · NOT what we sell
The everyday jade

Common, abundant, inexpensive. Softer, more opaque, often what's sold in tourist markets and online stalls labelled "jade".

Every Pavilion piece
Jadeite · 翡翠
The precious jade

Rarer, harder and denser, with the translucency and depth collectors prize. The "imperial" green the world covets is jadeite. The lavender, the icy translucent, the deep apple. All of it is jadeite.

An honest note · 包容

Natural stone,
natural marks.

Every piece of natural jadeite carries a small handful of inclusions: the fine lines and soft "cotton" clouds where the stone tells you it grew in the earth, not in a lab.

We never edit them out. Our photographs are taken in natural light, and the inclusions on each piece are described openly on its product page. It's part of why we can offer genuine Grade A jadeite at this price. It is also, to a real collector, part of the beauty.

"Perfect" jadeite at our prices is almost always dyed, treated, or not jadeite at all. We'd rather show you the truth.

Stone line
石纹

A fine, hair-thin line, often invisible until light catches it. Like a vein in marble.

Cotton
棉

Soft cloud-like patches inside the stone. Adds depth and movement to the colour.

Black Spots
黑点

Tiny dark mineral deposits formed over millions of years. A fingerprint of genuine, untreated stone.

Colour Root
色根

A concentrated vein of colour that spreads outward. The source of a piece's most vivid hues.

Common questions

What is the difference between jadeite and nephrite?

Jadeite and nephrite are the two minerals called "jade," but jadeite is rarer, harder (Mohs 6.5-7), and more translucent. Jadeite is the variety prized by collectors for its vivid greens, lavenders, and icy translucence. Nephrite is softer, more common, and typically opaque. Jadeite Pavilion sells only jadeite.

Is your jadeite natural and untreated (Grade A)?

Yes. Every piece is natural, untreated Grade A jadeite (also written Type A) from Burma or Guatemala. Grade A means the stone has not been bleached, dyed, or polymer-filled. We guarantee authenticity. If a piece bought from us is tested by an independent, accredited gemological laboratory and found to be anything other than natural Grade A jadeite, return it with the report and we refund you in full.

Can affordable jadeite still be real Grade A jade?

Yes. Affordable does not mean treated. Price is driven mostly by colour saturation, translucency, and size, so smaller pieces and softer tones can be genuine, untreated Grade A jadeite and still cost from USD $12. What you should avoid is "perfect", glassy, evenly coloured jade sold cheaply, which is usually dyed or polymer-filled (Grade B or C). Every Jadeite Pavilion piece is natural, untreated Grade A, backed by our authenticity guarantee.

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship tracked from Malaysia to 26 countries across Asia-Pacific, Europe, North America and the Gulf, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan and Singapore. The country selector at checkout is the definitive list. Transit typically takes 3 to 12 business days depending on destination. If a piece is lost or damaged in transit, it is covered under our Shipping & Returns terms. International orders may incur local import duties or taxes, payable by the recipient.

Why is your jadeite more affordable than boutique prices?

We source jadeite direct from Burma and Guatemala, cutting out boutique and middleman markups, and set the stones in silver so the jadeite stays the focus. That keeps prices honest: genuine Grade A jadeite starts from just USD $12.
